Program goals: to render assistance in establishing and developing economic think tanks in Russia and enhancing their capacity for carrying out independent quality analysis of Russia’s economic policy for the benefit of both policy-making government bodies and civic society institutes focused on the issues of country’s social and economic development; to establish a national network of economic think tanks and consultants-analysts; to mobilize internal intellectual and professional resources for resolving economic problems faced by the country.

    For achieving the goals, the Program offers grant competitions and renders technical assistance to winners in institutional development.

    The Program is delivered in cooperation with the Center for Institutional Reform and the Informal Sector  (IRIS) at the University of Maryland.
